       伪纪录片在搞了恐怖片、科幻片、僵尸片之后终于伸向了恐龙片。 《The Dinosaur Project》打着的主题就是“当全世界都以为恐龙已经绝种的时候......”，以伪纪录片的方式，让观众犹如身如其境，和一批摄制队进入到刚果森林的心脏地区，寻找恐龙。

       随着世界著名探险家，乔纳丹.玛尔尚带领的摄制队在森林里消失了以后；两名刚果籍渔夫发现了漂在河面上的背包。在背包里，装载着超过100小时的影像资料，而这些镜头将揭露远征团队消失的故事......

       作为一名纪录片制片人Sid Bennett，利用自己的特长，使用“真实发现”手法来描述这一部以家庭为主的恐龙冒险记。但导演强调，这将不会是一般所看到的纪录片电影，观众也不会一直看到摇摇晃晃的摄影画面，因为它使用的拍摄技术是不一样的。
