“Amazing Racer” is a heart wrenching and intense drama about a teenaged girl named Shannon, who faces and overcomes tragedy through the love of a horse and the mother she never knew. Claire Forlani (Meet Joe Black) and Julianne Michelle (The House Is Burning) star as mother and daughter respectively in this long anticipated film, which is based in part on a true story.

The sudden death of her father leaves a teenage girl without a family and she becomes lost in her own anger and sadness. Her family doctor informs her that her father had a secret, that themother she never knew was alive and well. Although somewhat apprehensive she decides to travel to meet her, with the prospect of starting a new life but as one can imagine, not all is plainsailing. Set amongst the backdrop of magnificent countryside and lush pastures, she befriends a horse trainer who has fallen on hard times and discovers that in caring for a special horse, she is able to overcome her hardships and emotional trauma.
